High Touch Private Dinners

“We hired Maja to help us mark a milestone birthday celebration for my husband. She came to our home and created the most beautiful and delicious meal. My teenage sons, husband, and I ate every single morsel! She’s not only skilled and talented but also very creative with her food combinations and plating. All the food tasted delicious and looked gorgeous. Our meal started with a pupu of buttery, mouthwatering Ahi Tuna Tartare and capers. Then she served a Spring Mix Salad (freshly picked that morning) drizzled with a Meyer lemon dressing, garlic oil, balsamic reduction and topped with grilled avocado, pine nuts, and sourdough croutons. The entree: Crudité of fresh, flavorful Grilled Vegetables, perfectly Grilled Halibut in a yummy sauce – so moist and tasty – and Coconut Molokai Purple Sweet Potatoes. And yes, there was the dessert – an exquisite Tahitian Lime Soufflé with coconut creme sauce and lime caviar. Omg so delicious! We’re still talking about this meal. Maja herself is so positive and easy going. It’s evident she’s a food lover and has so much excitement for her craft. She truly has a gift for feeding people scrumptious food. She added a local touch on some of the dishes and exposed us to some new foods, while also taking dishes we have had in the past and raised the bar on many of them. I was going to Maui from California for a wedding and thought it would be nice to give the bride a surprise shower before the wedding.  I only had 2 weeks to get it together.  Thankfully, I found Maya to cater.  She was extremely helpful in putting together a menu for me in a short amount of time.  She was so thorough and asked me many questions about food allergies, the location, and the 12 guests.  The bride, the guests, and I were amazed by the the food.  The salads were so fresh and tasty.  The shrimp, chicken, and pineapple rice were delectable.  The chocolate layered cake was out of this world.  Maya and her staff hit it out of the park.  All week everyone talked about how great the food was.  I am extremely grateful that I found Maya to make my surprise wedding shower such a success.  I know if I ever host an event in Maui, I will be hiring Maya again. – Diana, California
